The Skagit Valley College Foundation is proud to sponsor Lisa Shannon's important message to the community about ending violence against women in war-torn African Congo. Internationally recognized for her support of women's struggle, author of "A Thousand Sisters:" and founder of the "Run for Congo Women", Lisa Shannon is the keynote speaker on February 9, 2012.    Complimentary tickets to her 7:30 p.m. lecture are available On Line or at the McIntyre Hall box office.

A magical, imaginative adventure with a moral and political point of view, Into the Woods is an intricate fairy tale of characters who are attempting to realize wishes of their own.  Skagit Valley College Music & Theatre Departments  present 6 outstanding performances beginning on February 24.

Friendship House and tulees eco-fashions present an innovative runway Fashion Show.  Local designers will unveil 'repurposed' outfits which will be modeled and then auctioned off - all in support of our community Friendship House.
